MEDAN. UMMUSU - UMM USU held a Workshop on Filling in Accreditation Instruments for the Institute for Self-Accreditation in Economics, Management, Business and Accounting (LAMEMBA) for Study Programs within USU.
LAMEMBA is a Business Management and Accounting Economics Self-Accreditation Institution tasked with carrying out the Accreditation process for Study Programs in Economics, Management, Business and Accounting, initiated by the Indonesian Economists Association (ISEI), the Indonesian Accountants Association (IAI), and the Indonesian Economics and Business Faculty Association (AFEBI).
The objectives of establishing LAMEMBA are (1) Carrying out an assessment of PS EMBA accreditation, in order to determine the feasibility of PS EMBA on the basis of criteria that refer to the National Higher Education Standards, hereinafter abbreviated as SNPT; (2) Ensuring the quality of PS EMBA implementation with SNPT on an ongoing basis; (3) Contributing to improving the quality of PS EMBA that is nationally and / or internationally competitive, and (4) Making LAMEMBA an accreditation institution at the national and / or international levels, which is supported by qualified human resources with transparent, credible and accountable governance.
The USU Quality Management Unit held a Workshop on Filling in Accreditation Instruments for the Institute for Self-Accreditation in Economics, Management, Business and Accounting (LAMEMBA) in Study Programs within USU on Monday, February 21, 2022 at 08.30 WIB until completion, which was carried out online through the zoom meeting application. This activity aims to socialize policies as well as increase the knowledge of Faculty / Postgraduate School Leaders, Study Program Managers in Economics, Management, Business and Accounting study programs regarding Accreditation Instruments for the Self-Accreditation Institute for Economics, Management, Business and Accounting (LAMEMBA) within USU.
This workshop was officially opened by the Vice Rector I of the Universitas Sumatera Utara Dr. Edy Ikhsan SH, MA. In his direction, the USU Vice Chancellor I conveyed the importance of the study program which will end its accreditation period this year because it supports the University Accreditation which will end on February 27, 2023. There are 16 study programs in the USU environment that are included in LAMEMBA, of the 16 study programs, there are 6 study programs that will end their accreditation period in 2022 and early 2023. Optimal strategies and efforts will be made by all components of the University to utilize this policy/regulation in order to obtain a Superior accreditation rating for USU in 2023. The Vice Chancellor I of USU hopes that through the Workshop on Filling in the Accreditation Instrument of the Institute for Self-Accreditation in Economics, Management, Business and Accounting (LAMEMBA) for Study Programs within USU and the follow-up plan for filling in the LAMEMBA Accreditation Form, USU's opportunity to obtain superior accreditation can be realized.
