LAMSAMA is the Natural Science and Formal Science Self-Accreditation Institute, the Quality Assurance Agency of Universitas Sumatera Utara (BPM-USU) held a Workshop on LAMSAMA Accreditation Instrument Filling for Study Programs in the USU Environment on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at 08.30 WIB until completion, which was held offline in the Academic Senate room on the 3rd floor of the USU Administrative Center Bureau. This activity aims to increase the knowledge of the Head of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Study Program Managers and the filling team of study programs whose accreditation period ends in 2023 and early 2024 knowing how to fill in the Study Program Performance Report (LKPS) and Self Evaluation Report (LED).

This workshop was officially opened by the Secretary of BPM Universitas Sumatera Utara, Farida Linda Sari Siregar S.Kep., Ns., M.Kep. In his direction, the Secretary of BPM USU conveyed the importance of study program accreditation for students because it is related to the National Diploma Numbering (PIN) and there are 4 Study Programs within USU that will be reaccredited in 2023 and included in LAMSAMA, Optimal strategies and efforts will be made by all components of the University to take advantage of this policy / regulation in order to obtain a Superior accreditation rating for USU in 2023. The resource person who serves as a BAN PT Assessor who is also a Lecturer at USU, Prof. Dr. Drs. Jonner Hasugian, M.Si, delivered the topics that were the focus of this activity, namely the first material topic of LAMSAMA Study Program Performance Report (LKPS) Instrument Filling and discussion, the second material topic which was also delivered by Prof. Dr. Drs. Jonner Hasugian, M.Si, namely LAMSAMA Self Evaluation Report (LED) Instrument Filling and discussion.
A total of 48 participants were invited to this workshop consisting of Deans, Vice Deans I, II and III of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Heads and Secretaries of Undergraduate Program of Physics, Master Program of Physics, Doctoral Program of Physics, and Doctoral Program of Chemistry, which will end their accreditation period in 2023 and early 2024. In the discussion/question and answer session, about 6 participants asked several questions related to the procedure and substance of filling out the LAMSAMA Accreditation Instrument, including lecturers, tracer studies, books and articles, RPS and IKUs. In this workshop, the timeline for filling out the LAMSAMA Accreditation Instrument was also conveyed to study programs by the Secretary of BPM USU, Farida Linda Sari Siregar, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kep.

The workshop was closed by the Secretary of BPM USU, Farida Linda Sari Siregar, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kep by emphasizing that the follow-up to this workshop must be carried out concretely and BPM USU will involve assessors in the USU environment to assist faculties and study programs for study program reaccreditation, in order to realize the acquisition of USU's accreditation ranking to be superior.
